In form Hilfenhaus replaces injured Lee in Oz One-Day squad

Sydney Sun (ANI) Monday 6th February, 2012

In form swing bowler Ben Hilfenhaus will replace injured Brett Lee in the Australian One-Day squad for the ongoing Commonwealth Bank series.

He will join the Australian squad for Friday's match against Sri Lanka in Perth.

Lee suffered a foot injury during the second Twenty20 match against India last Friday and will be out of action for around four to six weeks.

John Inverarity, chairman of selectors has said Hilfenhaus will join the Australian squad as a cover for injured Lee.

"The bowling attack for Perth is likely to be the same as the one that did so well in Melbourne and Ben will be in Perth to provide cover," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Inverarity, as saying.

Hilfenhaus was the leading wicket-taker in the Test series against India, which they comprehensively won 4-0, claiming 27 scalps at an average of 17.22. (ANI)
