CHICAGO -- At least eight people were injured on Friday in a shooting that happened in a shopping mall in Wauwatosa City, part of the Milwaukee metropolitan area, Wisconsin.
None of the victims' injuries appeared to be life-threatening, and the shooter remained "at large," Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride said in a statement. (US-Wauwatosa shooting)

BRUSSELS -- Top European Union (EU) officials on Friday called on leaders of the Group of Twenty (G20) to advance actions more ambitiously to build a more sustainable future, although the primary focus of the upcoming G20 Summit is believed to be fighting the pandemic.
At a joint press conference on Friday, European Council President Charles Michel and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen underscored the urgency and vital importance of tackling climate change, urging G20 partners to commit to the full and effective implementation of the Paris Agreement. UNITED NATIONS -- United Nations agencies are appealing for funding to aid more than 33,000 people fleeing violence in Ethiopia's Tigray region, fearing more than 200,000 could follow in six months, a UN spokesman said on Friday.
Stephane Dujarric, the spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, said people are streaming into neighboring Sudan every day from Ethiopia's conflict-impacted northernmost region. (UN-Ethiopia-Conflict)

ROME -- Italian-American carmaker Fiat Chrysler and France's Peugeot announced Friday that the prospectus for Stellantis -- the company to be created by their merger -- had been approved by the financial markets regulator in the Netherlands, opening the door for Stellantis shares to be traded on European stock exchanges.
The development comes in the wake of an announcement that the final shareholder vote on the merger will take place on Jan. 4, 2021. Analysts said they expected the deal to be overwhelmingly approved. (Italy-FCA-PSA)
