BELGRADE, July 23 (Xinhua) -- The head coach of Serbia's men's basketball team, Svetislav Pesic, has officially announced their final roster of 12 players at the Paris Olympics.
The team features several NBA players including multiple MVP Nikola Jokic of Denver Nuggets, Bogdan Bogdanovic of Atlanta Hawks and Nikola Jovic of Miami Heat.
Other players come from European powerhouses, such as Filip Petrusev (Olympiacos), Vasilije Micic (Anadolu Efes), Marko Guduric (Fenerbahce), Vanja Marinkovic (Baskonia), and Nikola Milutinov (CSKA Moscow).
The team also includes stars of the domestic champions Red Star's Ognjen Dobric, Uros Plavsic and Dejan Davidovac, as well as Aleksa Avramovic from Partizan.
According to the Basketball Association of Serbia, the Serbian team will depart on Wednesday for Lille, where the group stage matches will be held. The knockout rounds are scheduled to take place in Paris.
In the Olympic warm-ups, Serbia beat France, narrowly lost to Australia and the United States, and then bounced back to triumph over Japan and Greece.
Serbia's Olympic journey in Group C will begin with a game against the United States on July 28, followed by the Puerto Rico game on July 31 and the South Sudan game on August 3.
